Our first concern was to meet the needs of an autistic adult population. This choice was motivated by the demand of all those parents who were constantly asking the question, "What will happen after us?”
The Eden Ohaley Yaacov Association was empowered to open and operate residences by the various public partners: Ministries of Social Affairs, Health and Social Security. The Association is recognized as a charity and has a management certificate issued by the Ministry of Justice.
The residences also must meet the challenge of serving the needs of the immigrant population of the entire country. Israel has welcomed each group, its customs, taste, accent, and language. Today 9 nationalities are under one roof. A third of the total workforce is from Francophone countries.

Eden Ohaley Yaacov Association originated in France, where after 10 years of supporting children, adolescents and adults with autism, we were approached by many families with an autistic child who wanted to create a home in Israel that would welcome their children into adulthood.
Given the lack of quality and number of frameworks for autistic adults in Israel, the project also provided an answer to Israeli families for whom the future of their child was uncertain.
The Eden Ohaley Yaacov Association was created by parents and mental health professionals. A team of psychologists, educators and social workers decided to make aliyah and realize their goals.
