Every morning, all residents are, like everyone else, on their way to work. Whether they integrate into regular professional places or sheltered workplaces, the desire is there regardless of the level of independence. Each resident may find an occupation that suits him. The work represents an integration of excellence, socialization and autonomy.
In 2009, we opened our own sheltered work center. Located in Moshav Ishi, within 5 minutes of Beit Shemesh, different work centers are supervised by professionals, craftsmen and artists.
This workshop is for the least autonomous residents. The purpose is to learn to work through simple and repetitive tasks. This workshop puts into practice the methods TEACCH and ABA. The worker is assisted in his movements to help him gain greater autonomy.
Par ailleurs nous avons développé des réseaux qui nous ont permis de faire intégrer certaines personnes dans des lieux communs tels que l'Hôpital Hadassah (travail de recyclage de matériaux usagés) ou du travail de bureau (aide à la comptabilité).
In collaboration and partnership with different factories and enterprises, workers are have an allotted time to respond to requests: labeling, packaging, finishing work ...... the tasks are many and varied.
Recycling Workshop: Creating flowers
These flowers are created using plastic bottles. Our artisans transform these containers into rainbow colored flowers, bouquets, and flower arrangements.
Clay is shaped into unique objects, glazed with bright colors. Each month, the objects are sold at the Jerusalem Artists market or other points of sale.
Our resident artisans must also respond to orders for weddings and other family celebrations, for which decorations or magnets become special souvenirs.
